2. Riêng về nhóm phương pháp kỹ thuật gene cũng còn thiếu nhiều. Ví dụ như Nested PCR, loop-PCR... Ngoài ra tác giả nặng về dịch từng bài báo cụ thể mà không có cái nhìn tổng thể. Ví dụ nếu là tôi khi đề cập đến multiplex PCR trong phát hiện Salmonella thì ít nhất sẽ nói đến một số chiến lược khác nhau như:

- đồng thời phát hiện nhiều serotype
- Đồng thời phát hiện Salmonella và các vi khuẩn gây bệnh khác

3. Riêng về phương pháp real-time PCR thì viết vừa thừa vừa thiếu. Thừa do đi chi tiết và một dạng thiết bị quá. Thiếu vì chưa nêu được phương pháp real-time PCR áp dụng ở mức thông thường. Thế mạnh nhất của real-time PCR là khả năng định lượng cũng chưa nêu được.

Tóm lại bài này tác giả viết khá công phu nhưng vừa thừa vừa thiếu và chưa có được cái nhìn tổng thể về kỹ thuật mà chỉ tìm một số bài báo (rất ít và không điển hình) rồi dịch ra.
